Like countless millions of other people I find myself stuck between the mundane and the obligations. The hollow, unfulfilling day job. The ratio of stress and pay disproportional enough to jar. The dreams we ignore, shelve, put on one side as we feel our way to barely surviving. I've always wrote, but not always shared. My ego being small and fragile, often hidden behind a mask of bluster and false confidence. I like the idea of the shared story. It is easier to be a cog in the machine than the machine itself with praise and criticism absorbed by the whole. I hope that the project achieves the goals intended for it, but regardless, it is fun watching the story evolve, devolve, change and dance at the whims of the writers. It does make it tricky sometimes keeping track of the timeline, the details of the events. But, what will be will be. It is a welcome distraction and we will see how the conclusion presents itself.

Just a note to say thank you Jeremy ; we have two machines in motion, both with similar goals but different structures. It will be interesting see how they go (and Kate - I like the "annotations" through the wiki links you made :-D )
